AW3 Charcoal facial, also known as a charcoal laser peel, is a non-invasive skin rejuvenation treatment that uses a 1320nm laser wavelength to remove impurities from the skin. This results in a smoother, brighter and more youthful complexion.
Additionally, the procedure enhances skin radiance, providing immediate and noticeable results with no downtime or recovery period required.

During the Charcoal Facial Treatment, our skilled professionals will apply the specially formulated Charcoal Laser cream to your face, preparing it for the transformative process ahead. As the AW3 ND Yag Q Switch Laser comes into action, you’ll be pleasantly surprised to discover that the procedure is virtually painless. With precision and care, the laser emits a gentle 1320nm wavelength, targeting specific areas of concern and stimulating the skin’s natural rejuvenation process.

The Q Switched laser emits rapid pulses of high-energy light, specifically designed to break down tattoo ink and pigmentation particles. By delivering the light energy in short bursts, the laser generates controlled heat. The heat from the light is attracted to the melanin/oxy-haemoglobin in the blood. It then breaks down the melanin and coagulates the blood within the area. This leaves the body through the lymphatic system leaving the skin with a clearer complexion.
A full face treatment can take up to 45 minutes so don’t let sun damage hold you back from achieving the complexion you desire. Embrace the transformative benefits of Charcoal Laser Skin Rejuvenation and discover a new level of confidence. Unleash your radiant beauty today.

The treatment improves the appearance of wrinkles. The heat from the laser penetrates the skin’s dermal layers, creating an inflammatory response for the body to immediately repair the area that it thinks has been damaged. The body produces new collagen within the area that reduces winkles and creates a smoother skin appearance

Large Pores / Skin Tone
Carbon paste is applied to the skin’s surface and blasted with energy to exfoliate the epidermis, reducing the appearance of open pores and toning the skin. These instant visible results brighten up any complexion.

The laser penetrates the skin’s dermal layers where the pigmentation sits. The laser works in two ways to remove the pigmentation: Firstly, the blast of laser energy into the dermal layers destroys the pigmentation by shattering it into smaller pieces. The body recognises it as a foreign object and removes it from the body through the lymphatic system. Secondly, the heat dries up the pigmentation and it is physically removes from the skin when a scab is created on the skin’s surface. The scab eventually falls off out and the area becomes lighter.

Acne is caused by an overproduction of sebaceous oils. Pores become blocked with excess keratin, which prohibits the sebaceous oils freely moving up to the skin’s surface to disperse. A skin bacterium known as Propionibacterium acnes feeds on the excess on the excess sebaceous oil and multiplies. With severe acne, the walls of the glands break and the acids and oils spill out causing further inflammation.
Laser light ache treatment works by heating up the capillaries supplying the sebaceous glands with excess oil production and makes them dormant to inhibit the oversupply. The heat kills the acne bacteria to stop its spread. Additionally, the laser exfoliates the epidermis, making the acne build up finer and smoother. Both the dermis and epidermis are penetrated throughout the treatment for immediate results, as well as reducing acne in the future.

Does it hurt?

The sensation will vary from client to client. The sensation that is felt depends upon the amount of melanin found in the skin. The sensation is described as a heat sensation and a few clients say it is light mild sunburn after the treatment.

What to expect?

Skin rejuvenation and wrinkle treatments will show mild redness of the skin initially after the treatment. This is a good sign the treatment has worked and sufficient heat has been pushed into the epidermis.

Pigmentation treatments will initially turn darker after the treatment and then a crusting may appear on the skin which must shed off naturally up to 10 days after the treatment. The skin will then appear more even in colour and the pigmented lesions would be lighter in colour.

How many sessions are needed?

A course of 6 treatments is required for full results, however results are visible after just one session. Clients are advised to have a treatment once per month (4 week intervals). Future treatments may be needed as results depend on the client’s lifestyle.

Top-up treatments may be carried out as and when the client feels, with 4 weekly intervals between treatments.

Side effects after treatment?

Slight redness which subsides within a few hours of treatment. Aloe Vera gel soothes and cools the area after treatment and may be used for as long as the client wishes.

Pigmentation may scab and fall off within 14 days. Do not tamper with this scab (such as scratching or picking) but it can be covered with make-up.

Uncommon side effects include hypo/hyper pigmentation, swelling, itching or minor bruising; these can be a result of not using SPF 30+ and UV/Sun exposure.
